UPDATE 2: (Oct 22th, 2010):


Registration:

If you can't for some reason register on-line, then you can come and regist manually by paper form and cash payment at Burleigh Surf Club from 3-5 Satutday afternoon.

 

We do ask though that you register on-line, it's easy, only takes a couple of minutes and it beats having to line up on the day!!

 

If you still haven't registered, please click here now - scroll down to fine the event you want to enter, and click on the link to register online. It's easy and quick.

Late entries will be able to register on the day, from 8-12noon on Sunday. Please note that there may be a late entry fee if you leave it to last minute to register on the day. Online registration will be open until 10pm Saturday night, so if you can, we ask that you pre-register online if you can, rather than be a late entry on the day.


Event Updates:

  1. The "Battle of Burleigh Start" time has been moved back one hour, and will start from 11am
  2. The Long Course Ocean Paddle times have been moved back 45min to allow the wind to increase a bit new start times for the long course are as follows:
  • 1:00 pm - Meet and greet at start location.
  • 1:30 pm - SUP's and Paddleboard start
  • 1:45 pm - Outrigger Start
  • 2.00 pm - Ocean Ski Start

 

The 2pm Down Wind race event will start just seaward of the pumping jetty and will run 100m out to sea, around a bouy and straight downwind to the famous Burleigh Beach!

The best way to get to the race start from burleigh is along bermuda street, right in to queen street, acorss sundale bridge and then out to the spit carpark.  If you want to boat from the broadwater carpark and paddle to the start that is also possible.

 

Pre-Race breifing:

The full detailed pre-race breifing will be at Burleigh Surf Club 12noon on Sunday morning. There will be trailers and bus ride for about 50 competitors with preference for those travelling or who have familes and cant get transport.

The best place to park at burleigh is behind the library. Its just a short walk from there across to the club.

See you at the club. Come down and get involved. It will be a great day on the water.

 

Safety:

Please note that All paddlers will be required to wear a leg leash, and have a PFD strapped to your craft for the long course events.

News hot off the press!

We would like to welcome Pontoon Sports ( thanks Peter ) on board as our supplier of premium paddling tops.

Pontoon paddle tops will be issued to the first 250 entrants who register for either the long or short course events!

The shirts are royal blue, and they look awesome! We're pretty confident they will rate as the best paddling top every issued at a premium race event every. Also every competitor who enters the event will get a free T-Shirt!
