Paramount Safety Products was founded by the late Rob Bird in 1992 and employs more than 40 people with an extensive distribution network and has offices and distribution warehouses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
In 2004 our company launched the brand ProChoice Safety Gear and experienced remarkable growth across Australia.

Paramount Safety and the ProChoice brand of Safety Gear have long been supporters of charities and sport. Rob Bird had a love of the ocean and sailing and this fondness for the ocean was passed onto his family.
Tim Bird is now continuing Rob’s passion and leading the ProChoice brand into the future.

Tim himself has a real connection with paddling and can lay claim to an impressive paddling resume.

Some highlights include representing Australia in Sprint Canoeing at the 2001 World Championships in Poznan, Poland and a 2 x Silver medallist in the Open Men’s Double Ski Race at the Australian Surf Life Saving championships with brother Will Bird who also works within Paramount Safety.
Tim recently competed in the gruelling Molokai Ocean Ski race with an outstanding result of 11th place in his first attempt.
